Hemostop® K AC
Vasotropic antihemorrhagic agent with procoagulant factor
Injectable Solution
Each mL contains: Menadione sodium bisulfite (Vitamin K3) .................................... 10 mg
Carbazochrome sodium sulfonate ........................................................................ 5 mg
Excipients ........................................................................................................ 1 mL
• Prevention and treatment of pre-, intra-, and postoperative hemorrhage resulting from reduced capillary resistance.
• In cases of hemorrhagic tendencies (purpura) due to decreased capillary resistance and increased capillary permeability, such as ecchymoses, epistaxis, and petechiae.
• In cases of hematomas and hemorrhage caused by hypoprothrombinemia.
• Following dental extractions, and in cases of surgical or traumatic hemorrhage.
• In cases of Vitamin K3 deficiency leading to hemorrhage, and in cases of intoxication with Vitamin K3 inhibitors such as coumarin and its derivatives (indandione, brodifacoum).
• For the treatment of hematuria, melena, hematemesis, hemoptysis, hemorrhagic metropathies, postpartum and post-abortion hemorrhage, thrombocytopenic and vascular purpura, and gingival bleeding. Specifically indicated for bovine hematuria and sweet clover poisoning. Other indications may be determined at the discretion of the veterinary physician.
Canines and Felines:
• 2 mg/kg Vitamin K3 and 1 mg/kg Carbazochrome, equivalent to 1 mL per 5 kg of Hemostop® K AC, administered via the subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous route. Administer twice daily for 4 to 6 days. Other dosages may be used at the discretion of a veterinary professional.
